The Associate Consultant for Cause & Shared Value implements initiatives that address social issues that intersect with the Elanco Animal Health business model and vision of Food and Companionship Enriching Life. The position drives understanding, acceptance and engagement within the business and community. This role collaborates with all internal functions to drive employee participation and engagement at all levels, communicates results and coordinates global external relationships in the areas of food security and companionship around the world.
This position is responsible for the execution of the Cause & Shared Value strategy, project coordination and implementation of the related activities for internal and external audiences, and communication/promotion of programs and results.
Implementing programs and initiatives that meet the intersection of social need and business goals and objectives; in coordination with other Corporate Affairs colleagues and employees in all functions across the world..
Identifying engaged employees and guiding them to help amplify the Cause & Shared Value message as Ambassadors, who help coordinate efforts within the company and community.
Managing the giving program, process and procedures at Elanco; amplifying the efforts through internal and external communications
Managing and implementing signature programs, such as Global Day of Service and 100 Communities, and grant programs.
Provide insight to the business and its leaders on best practices, trends and issues that impact the food security and companionship cause
Defining benchmarks and standards to measure the impact of Shared Value/Corporate Citizenship initiatives on targeted business outcomes. Continuously improves efforts by monitoring behaviors and outcomes that matter to the business.
Managing internal and external resources for multiple projects.
Managing priorities, deadlines and projects that may involve multiple contributors to achieve measurable results in an environment of involvement and teamwork.
Identify needs/opportunities and then develop systems, tools, processes or procedures as needed for efficient and effective implementation of cause-related efforts
Measure participation rates and outcomes of programs and initiatives for continuous improvement measures.
Creating communications plans and materials for internal and external publication and social media, sharing Elanco’s Cause & Shared Value programs
Demonstrating resilience and flexibility and willingness to explore different paths to achieve an outcome. Uses data when possible to make decisions with a bias for action.

Master’s degree in Marketing or Communications.
Previous experience in a non-profit environment or community relations within a corporate organization.
Excellent communication skills: written, social, verbal, and presentation skills; understanding of traditional and social media.
