We are looking for an experienced Information Security Architect to join our team.

General Summary:
The Information Security Architect is responsible to align security standards, frameworks and the overall business and technology strategy. The ideal candidate will want to excel as a valuable member of our Information Security Team. Excellent communication skills, a desire to learn and advance is required. Staying current on security technological developments is a must.

Essential Job Functions:
Design, build, implement and support enterprise-class security systems for a production environment.
Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats.
Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements.
Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend alternatives or enhancements.
Provide security and sales support to the Hosted Solutions/Cloud Services Team.
All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Security architecture, demonstrating solutions delivery, principles and emerging technologies

Designing and implementing security solutions. This includes continuous monitoring and making improvements to those solutions, working with the information security team.

Ability to consulting with prospective clients and provide design and engineering solutions within the framework of security best practices and implementation of solid security principles across the organization, to meet business goals along with customer and regulatory requirements.

Security considerations of cloud computing: They include data breaches, broken authentication, hacking, account hijacking, malicious insiders, third parties, advanced persistent threats (APTs), data loss and denial of service (DoS) attacks.

Identity and access management (IAM) – the framework of security policies and technologies that limit and track the access of those in an organization to sensitive technology resources.

In-depth knowledge of relevant National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards.

Knowledge of SSAE-18, SOC 2, PCI and HIPAA standards.

Ability to write and implement appropriate security policies.

Skill in problem solving and resolution.

Skill in reading and interpreting technical documents and information.

Exceptional in oral and written communication skills with diverse audiences.

Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.

Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand.

Ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels and with vendors of security - related products.

Ability to develop routine and special reports regarding security.

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

Strong leadership, project and team-building skills, including the ability to lead teams and projects.

Demonstrated ability to identify risks associated with business processes, operations, information security programs and technology projects.

The ability to be the enterprise security subject matter expert who can explain technical topics to internal audiences and external clients without a technical background.

Education and Experience:
BA or BS in information security, engineering, mathematics, or related area. A Master’s degree in an IT field is a plus, and a Master’s in cybersecurity is an even bigger plus.

Or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Security and at least two of the preferred related security certifications.

Preferred related security certifications:
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP)

Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)
