Position Title: Closing Coordinator/Funding Specialist
Position Reports to: Vice President of Accounting
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Salary: $62,400-$85,120 DOE
Minimum requirements:
- Associate’s degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advance Excel)
- 3 years experience in home and land closing transactions or related real estate function
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to maintain deadlines in a high-volume environment Ability to communicate/coordinate effectively and efficiently with multiple stakeholders including business partners, NBG Accounting Team and Challenger Group Leadership
Preferred requirements:
- 1 year of experience with Buildertrend or similar construction management software
- 1 year of Sage Intacct or similar ERP
- 3 years of experience with real estate transactions, closings and funding with a new home builder
- Bachelor's degree

The Closing Coordinator/Funding Specialist position will effectively coordinate all lot acquisition and home closings processes to serve the needs of the National Builder Group. This includes reviewing closing documents, preparing closing statements, and coordinating with NBG Owner-Operators, lenders, realtors, title companies, and other parties to ensure a successful closing.
As with any position, additional expectations exist. This position will support the accounting team with the day-to-day transactions, operations, compliance, reporting and risk management of the department.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Coordinate the homesite land acquisition process
- Coordinate the home closing process
- Review of all home closing and lot purchase contracts
- Coordinate relationship with All Pro Capital
- Month-end tasks as assigned
- Journal Entries using Sage Intacct
- Project setup and maintenance in software systems
- KPI and Stat Journal entry
- Creation of financial and job reports
- File maintenance and management
- Timeline management with builders and title agencies
- Management of title insurance
- Implementing proforma data, and liaising with financing and ultimately funding multiple
- entities in various state
Requirements
- The Closing Coordinator/Funding Specialist must also be knowledgeable of real estate regulations and laws, and must stay current on changes and updates
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization as well as with trade/business partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advance Excel)
- Experience with Sage Intacct or comparable ERP
- Self-motivated and self-directed
