This position is responsible for continuous improvement, implementing, testing and ongoing support of IT NAM infrastructure Services for North America. This includes Network, UC and Workplace, Site Infrastructure, Security and manage application technical components. In addition, this position will manage the rollout of the global projects in the region.

Main Responsibilities

Network Administration and Service Operations:
  • Effectively resolves issues by applying root cause analysis technics and identifies measures to prevent issue repetition.
  • Develops software upgrade procedures and methodologies for efficient deployment
  • Maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades/enhances network operating systems
  • Provides periodic reports on network utilization and communicates recommendations for improvement to supervisor
  • Monitoring and maintenance for IT Solutions
  • Is capable of defining the list of tasks and the steps to resolve issues or deliver objectives, having in mind a deep efficiency and structure with external providers and internal staff.
  • Capacity to participate to a crisis (be able to support the crisis, work on action plans and follow the process)
  • Is accountable for meeting user requirements and addressing issues within an agreed service level agreement.
  • Deliver operational excellence to internal and external clients. Is able to detect future client expectations and adjust the service (or what can be adjusted in the way to deliver) accordingly.
Scope of Applications – The following can be applied to the responsibilities listed above:
  • System Administration (Citrix, Active Directory, Windows Servers, SQL Servers)
  • Network (WAN, LAN, WiFi, Internet, Firewall and Riverbed)
  • Unified Communications and Workplace (Cisco Call Manager,Video Conferencing and VIOP)
  • Site Infrastructure (Switches, VMWare Farms)
  • Security (Anti-Virus, Patch Management, Security Operation Center)
Project Management:
  • Adheres to Project Management policies and procedures
  • Plan and rollout global and regional project initiatives
  • Performs all related responsibilities as required
  • Capture Business and IT requirements and define a broad project scope
  • Identify key stakeholders and develop basic communication plan
  • Define high-level activities, inter-dependencies, and develop a schedule
  • Identify risks and issues (no / limited mitigation plans)
  • Ensure adoption by the business
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Budget Management and invoice processing
  • Contribute to IT Operation process improvement linked to Global initiatives
  • Training and documentation processes and procedures for IT Operations
Experience

The following is the required qualification:
  • 5+ years of experience in PC/LAN/WAN hardware and software maintenance, such as installing hardware components in machines, loading software and network operating systems, telephony installation / support
Skills

The following are the required qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Cisco Switching, VoIP, and Call Manager. (CCNP AND CCNA)
  • Expertise with Windows Servers\VMWare Operating Systems
  • Expertise with Firewall devices and security measures.
  • Expertise in Cisco Video technologies including Telepresence, VCS and TMS
  • Expertise in SIP Trucking, VoIP protocols – SIP, H.323, VoIP Media, Web Collaboration
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 network design and standards, including Ethernet WAN technologies, 802.1x and 802.3xx
  • Knowledge of Riverbed WAN Optimization
  • Knowledge of Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Print Management
  • Knowledge of Solar winds Suite of tools
  • Symantec Anti-Virus management
  • Knowledge of Right Fax/ HP Digital Sending Software
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and can implement them within LDC
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve day-to-day problems
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Ability to interface with all levels of employees
  • Ability to train and direct staff of technical peers
  • Ability to meet specified deadlines
  • Direct contact with upper management, peers, vendors and service providers
Working Conditions:
  • Requires occasional extensions of regular working hours, which may include weekends
  • Must have ability to move equipment/furniture weighing up to 50 lbs. and view computer screen for extended periods
  • Potential for 10 to 20 percent travel in the U.S. and Canada
  • Requires performing detailed/close-up work with wiring using manual dexterity
