The Ritchie Center Retail & Operations Coordinator is responsible for achieving the following results for the Division of Athletics & Recreation: - Oversees the retail and merchandising operation for the Division of Athletics & Recreation including in-event sales, daily sales operations through three facility storefront areas and online sales. This position is responsible for inventory management, apparel inventory, apparel store presentation, purchasing, loss prevention control, staff/sales training and staff scheduling. - Provides support to the Assistant Director of Scheduling & Events on a variety of daily interactions and tasks which include scheduling support and preparation, and other duties as assigned.
Responsible for hiring, training and supervising event retail staff including hourly and work-study staff in accordance with University policies and procedures.
This includes recruiting/interviewing candidates, ensuring hiring paperwork is complete for selected applicants, development/maintenance of schedule for staff, evaluation of staff performance, training all staff in accordance with duties outlined in the position description as well as maintain up to date personnel files with valid certifications.
Responsible for inventory management, control and loss prevention for retail inventory.
This includes staff training related to loss prevention, inventory audits/adjustments, validating new purchases and managing inventory storage.
Manage in-event retail sales including staff scheduling/training, on site supervision, establishment of sales goals, marketing, kiosk setup/teardown, reporting and reconciliation.
Manage storefront sales areas (Joy Burns Arena, Coors Fitness Center and Gymnastics front desk). This includes inventory management/control, staff training, storefront design, reporting and reconciliation.
Responsible for setup and maintenance of RecTrac system related to inventory management and sales.
Perform operational audits to ensure optimal efficiency.
Monitor cash handling process into RecTrac for accuracy for the retail operation.
Responsible for maintaining adequate equipment/supply levels for the retail operation.
Responsible for creating and managing a consistent quality experience for customers of the Ritchie Center by performing regular quality walkthroughs.
Assist in managing the Ritchie Center calendar according to the facility scheduling policies and procedures.
Input athletic and recreation schedules provided by the Assistant Director of Scheduling & Events. Assist in identifying all scheduling information needed to compile the Ritchie Center calendar annually.
Assist with EBMS system and scheduling audits as necessary.
Report audit results to Assistant Director of Scheduling & Events.
Other duties as assigned.
Directly supervises 10 work study students, and three part-time staff.

Evenings and weekends as required.
Part-time, 20 hours per week.
