As Web Application Developer for the Platforms and Service Delivery team for Government Solutions, you will be involved in a project team dedicated to Applicant Process Services (Background Check) in Gemalto Cogent located in Pasadena, CA. APS Solution is an application hosted in Gemalto Data Centers and delivering services to our customers. ***You must have or be able to obtain Security Clearance***

A week in the life of a Web Application Developer:

  • Your main mission will be to design, develop, deploy and monitor the components part of the global solution.
  • You will work under the responsibility of a Lead Architect in charge of the whole solution.
  • You will support the implementation of a DevOps model, including agile methodology but also implantation of a CI/CD with full automation from development to deployment and monitoring.
  • You will be responsible for functional analysis, design and development of new features.
  • You will produce all documentation associated with daily activities.
  • You will monitor the application (performance, troubleshooting) and propose improvements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • To succeed at this job, you must have: strong technical skills using Node.js, Javascript Frontend Frameworks (Angular, React), Javascript Testing Frameworks (Mocha, Jest), Perl, and Apache, knowledge of operating systems Linux and Windows, and experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Mercurial.
  • It would be preferred if you have DevOps (Kanban), Python, C#, C, and REST knowledge.
  • You must be fluent in English.
  • We would like someone to join our team who is customer oriented, a team-player, business-oriented, and creative.
  • You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • You must be a U.S. citizen per contractual requirements of the client.
  • We are looking for someone with 2 – 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, including Agile Development Process (Scrum).
