About New Horizons:
New Horizons Baking Company has been in operation since 1967. We produce ready to eat hamburger buns and English muffins for some of the most iconic brands. We currently serve over 2,000 quick service restaurants across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Western Pennsylvania as well as national retail and sandwich makers!

Compensation & Benefits:
$21.91+ per hour starting pay, paid weekly

Be at ease in various environments: Familiarity with environments like being exposed to dust, rotating equipment, hot surfaces, and noise.
Monitor Machine Operations: Knowledge of observing machine operations and evaluating product quality thereby ensuring conformity to standards.
Apply GMP: Familiarity with apply regulations regarding manufacture of food and food safety compliance. Employ food safety procedures based on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Active Learning: Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Set up Machine Controls: Familiarity with set up or adjust machine controls to regulate conditions such as material flow, temperature, or pressure.
Bakery Ingredients: Familiarity with the raw materials and other ingredients used in baked goods.
Administer Ingredients: Knowledge of ingredients to be added and the required amounts according to the recipe and the way those ingredients are to be administered.
Processes of foods and beverages manufacturing: Raw materials and production processes for getting finished food products. Importance of quality control and other techniques for the food and beverage industry.
Check products for quality and identify damaged or expired goods.
Set oven temperatures, and place items into hot ovens for baking.
Measure or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare doughs.
Check the quality of raw materials to ensure that standards and specifications are met.
Monitor dough and add ingredients at proper stages.
Monitor corn meal/flour shaker and refill as needed.
Adjust rounder bars and conveyor speeds as necessary.
