The Chase Auto Business Analyst provides support by producing various reporting to the Chase Auto servicing organization. The information is used by all levels of the organization up to Executive level management and involves interfacing with several divisions (e.g. Risk, Controls, Accounting, Finance, Strategy, Quality Assurance, Information Technology, etc.) and project stakeholders. We collect and analyze complex data for reporting and/or performance (trend) analysis. Prepare a broad variety of reports and provides data and management information for clients, internal and/or external audiences. Participate in high level business initiatives and assist with all levels of metric reporting including operational, strategy performance as well as ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and established procedures.

The role requires strong business analysis skills to quickly extract data and easily translate and recognize all associated data sources, data relationships, and cross impacts for assessing performance or customer and account demographics. You will effectively and accurately utilize SQL tools to research potential data sources, design reporting and data structures, create requirements and screen mock-ups, present and share information with stakeholders, test and implement automated reporting tools and functions.
You will be expected to develop a strong understanding of the unique processes, system data, compliance responsibilities and workflow for each functional business group’s request, while maintaining and finding solutions that adhere to standardized processes, aligned metrics, and the overall compliance with Chase Auto MIS procedures. You will assess and manage changes to business and data models or operating strategies, update reporting calculations, and test reporting changes to ensure data accuracy as needed. You will also be accountable for recognizing opportunities and recommending enhancements to existing/ new report processes to improve effectiveness, efficiency and quality of the customer experience and performance management.

In order to provide accurate reporting and support to the various internal customers, candidates must be highly detail oriented, display strong analytical and technical skills, effective project management as well as be obsessed with service they provide to their customers. Prior experience with various data extraction and reporting tools are required skills as well as ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently. Due to extensive contact to support the business they must possess strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into business friendly terminology. A willingness to learn, team player mentality and a strong sense of ownership is necessary.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Develop processes to deliver reports while incorporating sustainable effective controls and meeting customer needs.
Maintain flexibility and be able to adapt to a consistently changing business environment; be able to quickly and effectively assess impacts, prioritize and capitalize on change.
Develop meaningful and effective working relationships; partner with colleagues across the business and encourage collaboration to facilitate ability to provide reporting efficiently and effectively to customers.
Facilitate meetings with business at various levels including senior management to evaluate and design reporting needs.
Evaluate results throughout development through effective testing/validation techniques and strategic sampling methodologies to ensure final product accuracy.
Comprehensively document and provide evidence of product validation and testing conclusions to ensure development requirements are met. Documentation will be used to support regulatory or internal/external audits.
Ensure consistency and adherence to Chase Auto MIS project standards.
Produce cyclical reporting and presentations for senior level and other levels of management.
Assure the integrity of data through extraction, manipulation, processing, validation, analysis and reporting
Regularly test and maintain reporting results to ensure accuracy
Minimum 5 year’s experience in financial services industry with background in data extraction, visualization and reporting techniques.

Data analytics experience using software applications (Excel, Access, SQL SAS) highly preferred
3+ years of experience with data mining with large databases using SQL tools or business intelligence platforms.
Proficiency within the Microsoft Office suite – MS Access, PowerPoint, Excel functions including pivot tables, charts, macros and Visual Basic.
Demonstrate the ability to work and research/resolve issues independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with team members.
Willingness to commit to working extended hours as deadlines require.
Must be customer centric and demonstrate exceptional customer service.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze detailed business requirements, raise questions and seek resolution to outstanding clarifications.

Preferred Skills:
Knowledgeable of Auto Finance industry preferred
Strong knowledge and experience utilizing Oracle SQL and data extraction tools
Knowledgeable of Chase Auto Loan collections/recovery and Vehicle Remarketing experience in operational or support capacity preferred
Strong knowledge and experience utilizing Oracle SQL and data extraction tools
Knowledge and experience with Teradata platform and data extraction
