The Recruiting Assistant provides recruiting, office and customer service support at an HSS office. This position plays an integral role in the growth of the business.
Duties and responsibilities Coordinates and schedules interviews for candidates; returns applicant calls for screening and scheduling; documents all candidate activity in system of record. Supports recruiting efforts including but not limited to interviewing candidates, assisting walk-in applicants and administering pre-employment drug screen, background checks and e-verify. Manage social media accounts Completes, reviews and uploads onboarding documents Coordinates and schedules candidate appointments Distributes pay checks Provide clerical support to the branch Performs general office duties Maintains the local office open during operating hours Review and submit time sheets accordingly Reviews and assists with workers’ compensation, medical/personal leave reports, forms, and employee changes Responds to employee, field operations and corporate correspondence Builds and develops relationships with personnel and client personnel to ensure a productive work environment Listens to employee concerns and refers concerns to Area Supervisor(s) or Account Manager for resolution Compiles on-boarding new hire material packets
Must have: High School Diploma or equivalent Marketing or Social Media experience 12-18 months experience in a staffing, HR or fast paced customer service environment 1-2 years’ experience with basic Microsoft Word applications 2 years’ work experience using the internet experience for basic searches and or research Ability to explain complex procedures clearly to colleagues and customers. Experience in handling confidential information Must have good organizational and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal format Able to follow verbal and written instructions Good analytical and problem‐solving skills Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred Must be able to work a flexible schedule (weekends and holidays)
Helpful: Knowledge of federal and state hiring practices Recruiting software or payroll systems experience Basic guidelines in interview practices
Working conditions Work is performed in an office setting and requires the ability to sit for an extended amount of time. May travel to job fairs or job sites as requested by supervisor
Physical Demands: Constant periods of sitting Writing and typing constantly
Visual Demands: Extended hours at a computer screen Must be able to read electronic documents of all types
Eligibility Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction Must be willing to take a drug test Must be 18 years of age or older Must be legally authorized to drive in the United States Must have valid car insurance
