Process Engineer (5 to 10 Years Experience)

Whitman is looking to hire a Process Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our Engineering Team and work in our Cranbury, New Jersey office. The successful candidate shall be expected to design process systems for both existing and new applications.

The candidate shall be expected to perform field visits, prepare load calculations (with or without software), system concepts, equipment selection, layout and design on AutoCAD, review shop drawings, attend meetings with contractors, owners or other consultants, respond to contractor questions, and write reports. Mechanical systems design may include the development of process flow diagrams, mass balance, etc.


  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or other similar curriculums, with 5 to 10 years of process engineering design experience.
  • AutoCAD proficiency is required to assist in completion of process drawings.
  • Professional engineering license is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work in REVIT is a plus, but not required.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel to company, client, and vendor sites.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment.
