Sherman Abrams Laboratory is a fully functioning reference lab located in Brooklyn, NY. We focus on providing accurate and timely results with care and quality for our patients. We are a growing laboratory with a team of dedicated technologists and staff who are here to provide and learn while maintaining work life balance.
Positions we are hiring for:
· Full Time Evening Shift Laboratory Technologist for Chemistry
· Full Time Night Shift Laboratory Technologist for Hematology
We are open to discussing flexibility as needed.
Job Duties Includes:
- Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and reports directly to the supervisor. Informs supervisor of all issues and matters
· Reviews and verifies test results.
- Performs periodic/scheduled and as needed maintenance on instruments.
- Performs quality control and calibration procedures as required.
- Maintains all records and documentation including remedial action for problems encountered.
· Prioritizes work activities to meet the established/expected test result turnaround time.
· Assists in Inventory Control to assure adequate supplies (QC, reagents, calibrators and other consumables) are available and reagents are stored properly (temperature sensitive).
· Participates in other projects/duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Lab Management.
Education:
Minimum Qualifications:
- NYSDOH Licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or current ASCPi license.
- One year experience in a clinical laboratory (completion of an internship at a qualified institution is acceptable).
- New graduates are welcomed to apply.
Salary:
- Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Pay: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour

Experience:
- Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CNA (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
- Medical Technologist (Preferred)
