Surgical Scheduler
Southern Eye Center is seeking a full time Surgical Scheduler.
This position helps patients set up surgical procedures designed to preserve, improve or restore vision at our two Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
Ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal, written and computer skills, a kind, friendly disposition, and a strong desire to help others. They will be well organized, have an excellent telephone manner, follow up with patients in an organized, timely manner, be comfortable meeting with patients and discussing the finances associated with receiving surgical care, ensuring that the source of payment in full for services to be provided is determined before procedures take place. Ideal candidates will address their duties with an appropriate sense of time urgency. They will understand the importance of keeping patient interactions and patient information confidential. They will be prompt, reliable, trustworthy and consistent. They will carry out their duties with excellent attention to detail and with empathy. Medical billing experience is required.
One to five years prior medical office, hospital, or ASC experience desired.
