Position Description

Public Sector Compliance and Regulations and PeopleSoft development organizations are looking for a senior DevOps engineer to help with continuous integration and continuous delivery of these products. Person taking up this position should interact with cross functional teams including top management and will be involved in design, develop new systems and to lead the projects in the capacity of architect.

Mandatory Skill Sets

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Software or Engineering with 10+ years of experience.

Should have worked in the architect level role and implemented DevOps solutions in a product development set up, especially in continuous integration and continuous delivery.

Strong knowledge of Source Code Management Systems, preferably GIT and ClearCase. Any experience with Oracle’s ADE would be a great advantage.

Strong knowledge on Build and Release Management Processes and build processes and automation development, automated deployment and management skills using tools like Python, PHP, Perl, Java, Shell, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Jenkins and Ant

Excellent decision making, communication and presentation skills to enable presenting ideas at various forums.

Work independently and at the same time help and drive the team in technical aspects.

Strong debugging and problem solving skills

Personal Attributes/Added advantage skills:
Should be able to visualize and be able to design systems, preempt possible outcomes, risks and be able to suggest alternate solutions.

Flexible to learn new technologies.

Experience working in an Agile methodology.

Experience in SQLs and Oracle database concepts.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop and troubleshoot software programs for databases, applications, tools and cloud builds etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
