EcoServices, LLC, a joint venture of ST Engineering North America and Pratt & Whitney Line Maintenance Services, Inc. (www.ecopower.aero), is seeking candidates for one (1) part-time Aviation Maintenance Technician position our Charleston Air Force (CHS) Base Service Center.

This Aviation Maintenance Technician is a part-time, hourly salary position. There are no minimum guaranteed weekly hours or schedule expectations, however we typically have regular weekly work needs. Most of the work will be based at the air force base itself, but the CHS Service Center also supports commercial aircraft washes in the region.

The selected candidate will report directly to the CHS EcoServices Service Center Manager. Primary responsibilities are to:

  • Deliver the proprietary EcoPower Engine Wash service to all customers (both commercial and military), driving DOT regulated vehicles to the customer location at the airfield, conducting the engine wash, signing off on paperwork, driving back to the shop and prepping the equipment for the next wash.
  • Be Flexible - work schedules are based on customer requests and local staffing resources, you need to be willing to be flexible. Your schedule changes week to week. This is on-call position with no set work hours.
  • Have sufficient communications and technical skills necessary to assist in engine wash activities.
  • Support our wash equipment maintenance (TPM) program. An interest in and experience with equipment maintenance and repair is highly desirable.
  • Support local facilities maintenance and inventory activities.
  • Be engaged with our continuous improvement of all service center processes.

The technician must be computer literate, and able to complete, update and maintain written records and databases for all maintenance performed in accordance with FAA procedures. Although there are no full-time positions available at this time, we regularly promote part-time technicians to our full-time staff when openings occur and past performance is well-regarded.

Technical Requirements and Experience:

  • Must hold a valid & current U.S. driver's license.
  • Licensure under 14 C.F.R. Part 65 (FAA Airframe & Powerplant) is desired, but not required.
  • A basic knowledge of engine hardware and flight line operations/procedures as well as familiarity with the safe operation of heavy equipment and ground support equipment around aircraft is expected.*
  • One (1) years or more of aviation maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Must comply with FAA drug & alcohol pool, DOT and FMCSA requirements. EcoServices is a FAA regulated facility and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment.
  • Education: AA/AS degree and/or Technical School Certificate desired, but not required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Compensation will be based upon education and experience, including military aviation mechanic experience. Aviation maintenance technicians are also entitled to overtime pay, compliant with federal and South Carolina labor laws and regulations. Pay levels are commensurate with experience. Paid sick leave is included.
