Receives and processes orders, inquiries, complaints, or problems from customers, whether by telephone, mail, fax, or in-person visits, in an efficient and courteous manner at all times and assists the account managers in handling these matters.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Answers calls in a pleasant manner while receiving orders for merchandise

Quotes prices to customers when required and advises them of quantity price breaks when appropriate and informs Account Managers of all quotes

Recommends products for specific applications when the customer does not know what to use while utilizing customer history for current product references

Handles all customer complaints in a timely and courteous manner, including; incorrect or late deliveries, quality complaints, incorrect invoices, or requests for tracing of shipments

Reporting customer issues to the correct manager while working with them to ensure customer satisfaction and follow-up

Receives and prepares requests for quotes on non-stock merchandise and processes according to approved procedures and communicates to the Account Managers of all quotes

Advises customers and account managers where products that we do not stock can be obtained while checking with other staff or purchasing agent if unsure

Communicate with account managers and purchasing agents regarding stock and substitutions options while collaborating with the warehouse for deliveries

Verbally notifies Account Managers of any price or/and specification changes or other important information sent by purchasing department, concerning merchandise

Receives all purchase orders that are mailed in by customers and correctly identifies and follows necessary steps

Solicits sale of new or additional products
