We’re looking for an experienced digital copywriter with a strong background in user experience (UX) work. You’ll work alongside marketing and digital teams across the company to oversee the writing in our online customer experiences. You’ll also oversee writing in our emails, letters and offline communications.

Key Abilities:
You should be a master cutting out technical jargon, and an expert at writing in a conversational style. Much of your work will involve synthesizing complicated information, and boiling it down to its essence. You should also have an understanding of customer journey-mapping, and how that information can help create a more positive and memorable experience.

Customer Experience:
This job is all about the customer, so you must have experience writing and editing with a customer-focused mindset. You must be able to look at everything through a customer’s eyes, and anticipate their questions while providing clear, concise, and timely answers. You think about tone and emotion, and how that shapes customers’ experiences.

You work extremely well with others. You not only spark ideas in yourself, you also have a knack for instigating ideas in others you may partner with. And you’re used to working with a variety of stakeholders and teams within a large organization

Web Copywriting:
Your love of words is only superseded by your love of smart ideas that work hard without having audiences work hard to understand. And you’re good with deadlines that range from plenty-of-time to we-needed-it yesterday. You are a fast worker and learner in any environment. Your writing packs a punch – short, compact and effective.

Ready, willing and able to:
Work with a digital design team to concept and write copy that’s on-strategy and on-brand
Ask smart questions that could help uncover brilliant ideas
Find and suggest ways to improve customer experience
Stay connected to your work from start to finish
Work within brand and other guidelines
Pay attention to form and function, strategy and execution on the page


Required qualifications:
A currently viewable digital portfolio or website
B achelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a creative or writing role at an ad agency, in-house agency, marketing department, or comparable organization
Prior experience writing for sales and acquisition, or service sites
Demonstrated ability to write for both B2B and B2C audiences
Helpful qualifications
Experience in customer experience / user experience
Experience in insurance industry marketing is a plus
Experience writing and presenting creative concepts, wireframes or digital work
Familiarity with Scrum/Agile development
