We are seeking motivated a VTC specialist to provide audio-visual, multi-media and video support services for high-level meetings, conferences and training sessions. This opportunity supports a leading, national cyber-defense related mission utilizing JWICS and other conference/desktop VTC solutions, as well as, Planar video wall display systems. It is perfect for those desiring career progression through increasing levels of responsibility and use of newer technologies. Advancement opportunities exist within the same task and elsewhere within GDIT. Candidates must work well independently and with a team.
System administration of secure VTC systems across multiple enclaves and varying classifications. Systems are conference room and desktop based.
Install video switching devices, media converters, wall monitors/televisions, and video control devices that support AV systems and ensure proper operation is maintained.
Perform maintenance actions, typically tier I and II in accordance with stipulated Service Level Agreements (SLA). Manage external vendor SLAs and act as site liaison to resolve tier III failures.
Provide remote monitoring of systems and support to off-site customers.
Proactive, routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure systems maintain their highest availability. Active monitoring and analysis of equipment and circuits to ensure satisfactory operation during high-level teleconferences.
Asset management of assigned equipment.
Maintain AV networking and control diagrams.
Assist customers with scheduling secure conferences with other telecommunications partners and overcome technical challenges for connecting systems with other agencies and classification levels.
Provide technical assistance and training to users.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
3 - 5 years' relevant experience
Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is desirable, but not required
All candidates must obtain SCI access and be willing to take and pass a CI Polygraph
