Work hours: PRN Days; varied hrs. (as needed); Rotating Weekends
Registered Nurse (RN II) – Progressive Cardiac Care Unit - Highlights:

Here’s What You Need
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
- One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required
- One-year strong Medical Telemetry experience in an Acute Care setting strongly preferred
- RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
What You Will Do
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
- Management of various cardiac drips
