ERM is hiring a Data Center Construction Safety Specialist to play a key role in supporting a project in the Atlanta, GA area. The Construction Safety Specialist will collaborate with the construction management personnel to ensure that construction contractors follow their respective safety program and overall contractor safety program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support contractors and subcontractors in a zero-accident safety culture.
Participate and assist in developing pre-job site safety planning and follow up on execution.
Request and review contractor pre-task plans and JSA’s and provide feedback as necessary.
Perform regular audits on all construction sites, construction trailers, and provide corrective action plans as necessary.
Oversee investigation of job site accidents, determine accident/incident root cause, and follow up on corrective measures.
Assess regulatory compliance across various safety programs.
Perform compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Develop safety procedures, plans, permits, and reports.
Conduct training, field coaching, and assessment for safety performance improvement.
Effectively steward and build strong collaborative relationships with field personnel and with other ERM employees.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, safety, or occupational health and safety, or a related degree; 3+ years of construction safety experience in heavy industrial setting will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Certification in field; ASP/CSP, CIH, PE, or similar registration highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry and construction standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, MS Office computer, and analytical skills; experienced in writing technical reports.
Experience with heavy electrical testing safety (verification of de-energization)
Familiarity with NFPA and IFC standards.
Working knowledge of NEC regulations/standards.
Ability to provide excellent project delivery and client service, quality on project deliverables, and organizational skills.
Ability to organize and coordinate field personnel, subcontractors and vendors.
Completed training and certifications for HAZWOPER, DOT basic Hazmat awareness, OSHA 30-hour construction, confined space entry training, and fall protection/prevention training.
Strong initiative (self-starter), problem-solving and communication skills, and attention to detail and QA/QC.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Willing to travel and temporarily relocate to field assignments throughout the United States
Must be able to pass a pre-hire background check and drug screen.
