We are seeking a compassionate and personable Psychiatric-mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team! Woodland Psychiatry is a private practice established in Midvale, UT, offering outpatient psychiatric medication management to many states via telehealth. We prioritize patient-tailored care, employing a holistic approach to mental well being: Medication, therapy, and appropriate lifestyle modification. **What your day-to-day will look like**
- 8-12 hour day via telehealth, from the comfort of your home.
- We will gradually (but quickly) fill up your schedule with primarily patients seeking initial evaluations to establish care with a provider (yourself) for psychiatric medication management.
- Initial evaluations with new patients are 60 minutes. It will cover all of your typical initial evaluation points, including collecting psych and medical history, family and social history, exploring all of the symptoms the patient is currently struggling with, and ultimately creating a treatment plan that includes diagnosis, medication management, and appropriate lifestyle modification goals.
- Once the patient is established, follow up medication management visits are 30 minute visits. We value slightly longer visits with the patient for follow up so therapeutic conversation can take place, and it doesn't feel like just a rushed prescription. We utilize the billing code 90833 with our patients, as we value non-rushed, high quality care that implements therapeutic practices.
**Compensation**
You will be a 1099 contractor, with a rate of $90-100/hr.
Raises will be available based on our contracts with insurance companies.
**Duties:**
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and therapy.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide patient education on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for virtual consultations and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts using an EHR.
**Qualifications:**
- MSN or DNP Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Current state licensure as a PMHNP.
- Current ANCC Certification.
- Current DEA license in your state (or willing to apply for one).
**Nice-to-Have Skills, but not required:**
- Previous experience in telehealth services
- Training in specialized therapies (CBT, ERP, EMDR etc.)
