**Overview:**
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our vehicles to various locations within the local area, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods. This role requires a strong focus on safety, customer service, and efficient route management.
**Responsibilities:**
- Operate company vehicle in a safe and resposible manner.
- Drive vehicles to destinations within the local area, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling.
- Manage routes and schedules to optimize delivery and pickup times.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading of goods.
**Requirements:**
- Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving large vehicles, such as tanker trucks, flatbeds, and dump trucks.
- Proven ability to navigate complex routes and manage delivery schedules.
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing excellent service to customers.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Physical stamina to withstand the demands of long hours on the road.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and comply with regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and procedures.
