Accounting Associate and Work Scholarship Coordinator
Presentation High School in San Jose, California is seeking a full-time Accounting Associate and Work Scholarship Coordinator to join the faculty. This position is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization in a timely and efficient manner.

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:
Managing all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
Reconciling and verifying accuracy of invoices
Maintaining historical records and ensuring proper documentation exists for all payments
Maintaining proper accounting controls
Verifying employee expense reimbursements prior to payment
Scheduling weekly check runs to optimize cash flow
Scheduling electronic payments as needed
Responding to all vendor related inquiries
Preparing analyses of vendor accounts and producing monthly reports
Reconciling AP subledger to the GL on a regular basis
Entering and reconciling credit card charges on a timely basis
Responsible for recording and managing all vendor accounts including but not limited to Costco, Amazon, Gas, and Round Table purchases
Responsible for recording and managing Alsco account (Linens)
Continuing to improve the procurement and payment cycle
Co-verify department and program related deposits
Entering deposits into SAGE in a timely basis
Weekly deposit trips to BofA branch on Meridian Avenue
Assign work scholarship hours based on financial aid award.
Coordinate with faculty/staff with work scholarship assignments
Manage students and their work scholarship assignments
Provide reports on work scholarship status

Qualifications:
AA in Accounting plus a minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
Familiarity with Google applications and MS Excel

Building Maintenance Worker: Pool, Grounds And General Maintenance
Presentation High School in San Jose, California is seeking a full-time Building Maintenance Worker to join the staff in August, 2019. Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Building Maintenance Worker works in the care of equipment and upkeep of the swimming pool and related facilities, provides grounds maintenance services and other basic maintenance related duties as required.

Reports to: Director of Facilities

Examples of Duties/Essential Functions

Insures that the pool chemical levels are well within state and local guidelines at all times.
Monitors, handles and installs and tests for all chemicals for the swimming pool
Takes daily tests and maintains logs in insure proper chemical levels.
Responsible for cleaning of swimming pool and maintaining pool covers and lane lines
Performs minor repairs to swimming pool pumps, pool lights, pool filters and other related items.
Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory of chemicals, parts, and supplies as needed within a given budget.
Works with skilled plumbers, painters, carpenters, electricians or other tradesmen and grounds employees where some knowledge of the basic operations and methods involved is necessary.
Repairs wood and metal fences and gates.
Does semi-skilled plumbing and minor repair work on doors, windows, roofs, floors, and other building parts.
Performs various landscaping function such as lawn morning, weedeating, fertilizing. planting flowers, pruning flowers, trimming trees, installing bark, etc
Assists with installation of electrical wiring and fixtures, replaces light bulbs, ballasts, light switches and other related work.
Performs semi-skilled painting work.
Assembles furniture and other structures or equipment.
Makes minor adjustments, services and keeps equipment in good repair.
Performs heavy manual labor, custodial, and grounds work as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
National Swimming Pool Foundation Certification as a Certified/Spa Operator preferred.
One year experience in general swimming pool maintenance, including the handling of chemicals is desired.
At least one year experience providing maintenance services in a school or similar setting.
Knowledge and Abilities

Knowledge of:
Proper swimming pool cleaning methods and techniques and use of swimming pool chemicals.
Basic operations, tools and terms used in building, grounds and custodial maintenance
The basics of carpentry, painting, plumbing, and routine ground maintenance

Ability to:
Quickly learn the necessary procedures and methods used to maintain campus swimming pool in good working order.
Secure and keep current certifications as a Certified Pool/Spa Operator.

College Counselor (Full-Time)
Presentation High School in San Jose, California is seeking a full-time College Counselor to join the College Counseling Department for the 2019-2020 school year.

Purpose of Position: The College Counselor is responsible for guiding students through the successful transition to post-secondary education. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of college admissions and financial aid topics and processes, excellent time management and outstanding communications skills of all expression: personal, written, verbal and technological. Must be willing to travel several times throughout the year to attend professional development workshops and conferences and to meet and network with representatives from colleges and universities.

Responsibilities:
Model for students the mission and values of Presentation High School
Meet with students in caseload individually at least twice a year and with families in their junior and senior years, advising and guiding students through the college application and selection process.
Inform students, families, and staff of current college admissions policies, procedures, and deadlines.
Provide assistance and advice in student course selection and its impact on college selection.
Provide college materials such as catalogs, viewbooks, applications, directories, and computer software programs to assist students in the college search process.
Serve as an academic mentor / homeroom teacher as assigned.
Provide mentors with current college information and materials.
Organize and coordinate college related workshops and evening programs for parents and students to attend.
Write letters of recommendation on behalf of students for college admission as well as for scholarships, internships and other opportunities.
Provide financial aid forms and applications to students.
Research and assist with the monthly College Counseling Newsletter.
Work with the administration and academic departments to coordinate senior graduation awards, and other scholarship awards programs.
Attend workshops concerning college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.

Maintain a strong working knowledge of colleges and universities, which includes making visits to colleges. Stay current on higher education changes.
Build and maintain relationships with college admission professionals.
Participate in professional development opportunities that will contribute to the individual’s professional growth and keep the college counseling, counseling and mentoring programs abreast of current developments in college admissions.
Facilitate college visits for select student population to local campuses.
Coordinate and organize the Awards Assembly.
Assist with the preparation of the graduation program and ceremonies.
Attend weekly case meetings, department, and mentor meetings.
Proctor AP exams.
Any additional tasks as assigned by the Director of College Counseling and/or Administration

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field.
A minimum of three to five years experience in college admissions or college counseling preferred.
Understand the college admission process at a variety of institution types and selectivity levels.
Experience working with high school students from diverse faith, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.

Part-Time Parent Board Moderator

Presentation High School in San Jose, California is seeking a part-time Parent Board Moderator to join the Advancement Department for the 2019-2020 school year.

Job summary
As a member of the Advancement staff you will work to involve parents, both alumnae parents and current parents to foster relationships. The Parent board Moderator reports directly to the Advancement Director. This position will act as the liaison between the Advancement office and the parent community to build and nurture relationships. This job does require fundraising capabilities.

Strength and Conditioning Coach (Part-Time)
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH (PART-TIME)

Presentation High School is seeking excellent candidates for a position in our Athletic Department. The Strength and Conditioning Coach in the Athletic Department at Presentation coordinates the weight room schedule, develops and implements a strength training program for student-athletes and teams, and ensures that proper lifting and spotting techniques are being used by all students and adults. In addition, may provide guidance and training in the area of nutrition for all student‐athletes and sports teams at Presentation High School.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and supervise sport-specific weight training and conditioning programs for all sports at Presentation High School for in-season, off-season, and pre-season.
Set up and monitor all rules and regulations that are to be followed by all users of the weight room, and oversee the safety condition of the weight room.
Enforce appropriate guidelines for student behavior and decorum in the weight room.
Teach, demonstrate and provide guidance of proper lifting and spotting techniques to all users (students and adults).
Work in collaboration with coaches to develop and implement a strength and conditioning program for all teams and individuals.
Work in cooperation with the athletic trainer in the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured athletes.
Oversee the maintenance of equipment in the weight room.
Make recommendations to the Athletic Director to maintain and improve the weight room equipment.
Maintain up-to-date records for the strength programs for teams and individual student-athletes.
Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with student-athletes.
Possess strong motivational and disciplinary abilities.
Support the mission and philosophy of the department and school.
Abide by all department and school policies and regulations.
Understand current trends in fitness.
Operate and maintain a sanitary weight room environment.
Update the Athletic Director on equipment needs and upgrades.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required. A bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, kinesiology, nutrition or other equivalent is preferred.
Possess current and valid strength & conditioning certification (i.e. CF level 1 or higher; CSCS; NSCA).
Current first aid and CPR/AED certification is required.
Experience working with high school students.
Successful experience as strength and conditioning coach, preferably with high school students.
Have a strong working knowledge and ability to demonstrate the appropriate skills and lifting techniques.
Experience in strength training and fitness programming for diverse populations.
Excellent organizational, management and communication skills.
Available and willing to work occasional co-curricular events.
