This position exists to provide support to keep the State's applications and infrastructure servers operating in accordance with customer SLA and operational guidelines, as well as design and implementation of new systems as needed. This positions participates in small and large projects, offering recommendations, guidance, and support to deliver on system related activities.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.
One year of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position, to include previous experience as a dedicate server/systems administrator.
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Training or certification related to the work assigned to the position will be considered as a substitution for the required experience and/or education.
3 or more years of server support experience with Windows 2008/2012.
3 or more years of experience in an organization with 100+ servers.
3 or more years of experience in a LAN/WAN environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills.
Demonstrated experience with multiple projects and priorities.

Comparative Analysis Process: is the selection process used to identify the applicant that fits the job the best from a qualified applicant pool. Applications and applicants are compared to others in the pool to identify a top group. Applicants will be notified of their status in the pool via email.
On-call Status: As needed occasionally for outages.
Driver's License: Incumbent must possess a valid, state-issued drivers' license, as periodic travel to various locations in the Denver Metro Area may be required.
Travel- May require travel to locations throughout the state occasionally.
