Group Description:
Framatome's CR&R organization designs, fabricates, and installs plant hardware for the worldwide nuclear commercial fleet. This position requires welding to ASME section IX for the following types of tasks;

Major Component Replacements
Feedwater Heaters
Steam Generators
Reactor Vessel Heads and Integrated Head Assemblies
Component Repairs
Specialized Automated and Manual Welding
Specialized Machining including Electrical Discharge Machining
Underwater In-Vessel Components and Internals

Asset Protection
Cavitation Peening
Emergent Repairs
Industry Best Response to Emergent Issues

Job Description:
Framatome is seeking temporary Welders:
Component Repair and Replacement (CR&R) is looking for experienced welders for the feed water heater replacement work at Palo Verde commencing Spring 2019. This is a temporary Framatome position.

Welders will be expected to be proficient with the following.
GMAW (including pulse) and GTAW welding techniques
Plasma, oxy/acetylene, arc gouging and abrasive cutting techniques
Performing manual weld preps
Ability to work from procedures, standards, written and verbal instructions.
Maintain control of weld filler material in accordance with quality control requirements
Unescorted Access

Testing will include but is not limited to :
A. 6G position, 2-3/4" x 5/8" SA106B, GTAW, Vertical Up Open Root, ASME Section IX

B. 2G, 3G, 4GU & 4GD, 0.5” plate with backing, Pulse GMAW or 6G position, 6" sch. XXH - SA106B, GTAW root & hot, GMAW balance, ASME Section IX

C. Proficiency mockups on select field representative weld joints acceptable to the Framatome weld visual inspection procedure.


All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
Welder Level I: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Welder Level II: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Welder Level III: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Prior Unescorted Access to a US nuclear site
Appreciation for Nuclear Safety Culture
Quality Oriented
Experienced with GTAW and GMAW welding techniques

Sporadic/Seasonal (50%) domestic travel.
