OVERALL SUMMARY

Working under the direction of the VP Finance, the Senior Accountant will perform various corporate accounting functions as well as support other members of finance, production, operations and senior management. This is a unique role with exposure to several operating companies within All3Amedia America as well as the parent companies in Europe. This position will provide the opportunity for independent initiative and judgement to improve accounting processes, procedures, financial reporting and growth in the corporate accounting environment. The ideal candidate will have work experience in both the public and private sector.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for preparation of financial statements for various entities for senior management review and for outside auditors.
  • Ensure that TV costs are properly captured and capitalized in accordance with GAAP and revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC-926 and All3Media America accounting policies.
  • Analysis of monthly general ledger account activity, journal entries, accruals, variances to forecast and reconciliation of various accounts, fixed asset administration and various employee benefits accounting.
  • Supervision of accounts payable process and accounts receivable billing process.
  • Payroll input and review of outside payroll vendor.
  • Maintenance of various spreadsheets to support financial transactions and analysis of various expenses.
  • Bank reconciliations and various treasury functions including bank liaison and cash flow management between various bank accounts and entities.
  • Assist in preparation of audit work papers for year-end audits with outside auditors.
  • Participate in the annual budget process for the Company and for interim forecasting.
  • Tax compliance support as needed.
  • Assist company in executing company policies and compliance procedures.
  • Other Corporate accounting duties or supervision of duties as assigned.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • High degree of understanding of the entertainment industry and its business practices are required.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Solid organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
  • Excellent Excel skills. Advanced knowledge in Excel understanding concepts of databases, filtering data, use of mathematical, logical, statistical and financial functions a plus.
  • Big 4 entertainment experience a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CPA candidate preferred.
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant public/private work experience. Entertainment industry experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP required.
