The University of Indianapolis seeks applications for a Marketing and Communications Strategy Manager (Admissions). This is a full time, exempt staff position. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing and implementing the University’s comprehensive, multimedia platform for admissions marketing strategy including recruitment, lead generation, competitive analysis, goals, objectives and tactics within the framework of the institution’s key areas focused on undergraduate and graduate programs, while focusing on competitive positioning of the University in the marketplace through coordinated brand management, increased visibility and awareness, content strategy, integrated marketing, and reputation enhancement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the University’s integrated marketing and communications (IMC) recruitment strategy, including competitive analysis, goals, objectives and tactics for tactical marketing plans and the production of creative and effective deliverables
  • Research and analyze market trends, demographics, competitor and peer institution marketing products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies
  • Coordinate project teams and external resources to ensure clarity of overall University positioning and branding, consistency of messaging and effective production of multiplatform content
  • Provide advice and guidance to administration and faculty leadership to support recruitment trends, best practices and effectiveness including a digital and social media strategy utilizing market intelligence
  • Work closely with the admissions, information technology, and communications and marketing teams to support admissions goals and strategic priorities. Oversees the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects
  • Work within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each school, college, unit, program (new and existing)
  • Track all marketing and sales data and creates detailed written reports and verbal presentations to bring to senior executives
  • Adjust marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback
  • Manage the planning, design, and execution of prospective student, applicant, and admitted student marketing communications for undergraduate and graduate lead funnel, in consultation with supervisor and Admissions priorities and university business plan
  • Conceptualize and create original content for email and web marketing campaigns. Ensure consistent branding across emails, conference materials, presentations, and websites
  • Develop marketing collateral in consultation with creative services team
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiplatform integrated marketing and communications message development and distribution aligned with audience characteristics including social media campaigns, digital marketing strategies and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Demonstrated experience in client relations and project management experience, working with creative teams; and ability to conceptualize, develop and produce content for a variety of University clients utilizing a diverse set of communications channels, including analysis and reporting to strengthen organizational brand and reputation
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and interpreting reporting of data and trends
  • Familiarity or experience with Hobsons Radius, EMAS Pro, and/or other CRM software
  • Working knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admission requirements, and financial aid programs at the University of Indianapolis
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with units, schools, departments, community organizations and other organization partners
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments independently, with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team toward organizational objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding time frames
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of marketing, communications or related field
  • Minimum of five years relevant marketing experience working in a diverse organizational structure with multiple clients
  • Experience in higher education preferred, but not required
  • Master’s degree preferred, but not required
  • Creativity, Adaptability, Research, Analysis, Writing, Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Leadership, People Management, Detail-Oriented, Budgeting, Organization, Multi-Tasking skills are all required
