We are actively seeking ICU (overnight), Dermatology, Oncology, Emergency and Internal Medicine Veterinary Nurse.

The Licensed Veterinary Nurse is an integral part of the Nursing team and is a key contributor to Cornell University Veterinary Specialists (CUVS)’s mission to deliver an unrivalled level of expert, personalized care to each and every patient and client. This position helps to achieve the most important priority, to enable CUVS to deliver exceptional medicine, by effectively executing all aspects of patient care.

As a core member of the veterinary medical team, the Nurse will work closely with the assistants, doctors and other staff members to carry out the care and treatment of all patients in the hospital wards and outpatient service areas. The Nurse will be expected to uphold the culture of learning and core values of CUVS through training and professional enhancement of skills and knowledge.

As an exemplar of teamwork and collaboration, the Nurse is a champion for living and modeling CUVS Core Values and Citizenship at all times and strives to uphold CUVS medical and service standards resulting in our clients, referring veterinarians, visitors and guests experiencing the highest possible level of satisfaction in veterinary medicine.

Tell us about yourself! Educational Background and Work Experience

· Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent

· Certified/Licensed/Registered Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT)

· 2 years+ of veterinary nursing experience

· Preferred: Specialty veterinary practice experience
