Duties/Responsibilities

Coordinating with attorneys, other immigration paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure that work is completed prior to deadlines assigned by attorney.

Continually monitoring all assigned cases for “red flags” (missing, inaccurate or incomplete documentation, etc.) and reporting them to attorney.

Maintaining an accurate status list of all open matters and continually taking action to move them forward.

Reviewing supporting documents provided by clients and ensuring that they contain the required information.

Editing documents provided by client (to be reviewed and approved by attorney).

Corresponding with clients regarding case status and non-legal questions involving their cases (ex: what additional documents are needed/case status/etc.).

Maintaining a client status list.

Performing other related duties as assigned.

Contributing to maintaining positive team morale.

Acting as an ambassador for the mission, values, and standards of behavior for the firm.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required (no JD candidates please).
