As a member of our 3DXP software and system engineering team, you will help design firmware for 2 tier memory products to accelerate the computation in data centers. You will have dynamic, multi-faceted responsibilities in areas such as project definition, design, and implementation. Additionally, you will participate in the design, architecture, documentation, and implementation of ground breaking memory and storage solutions.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrate proficiency in coding skills, verification/validation, simulation, failure analysis, ASIC/FPGA/System bring-up, and the use of tools that support these activities
Validate requirements and negotiate trade-offs with architecture team
Contribute to architecture, design and coding of targeted project
Develop structured source code targeting the embedded environment associated with state of the art memory
Perform design verification using a variety of verification methods, including simulation, FPGA prototyping, and product testing
Focus on firmware quality in the system and the target application
Participate in SCRUM/agile processes and distributed code reviews
To be successful in your application, you will need:
Experience with DDR and/or PCIe firmware development
Deep understanding of and experience with firmware development, verification, system failure analysis, embedded systems design and real time embedded systems
Analytical skills, including the ability to find creative solutions to hard problems
Functional knowledge of software engineering principles and designing and developing firmware using assembly and C/C++ programming
Debugging skills in an embedded firmware application including:
Hands-on knowledge of identifying and optimizing performance of critical algorithms, problem re-creation and trapping, logging and diagnostics
Working knowledge of ARM Microprocessors, with experience on ARM Cortex
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
