Accountable Care Organization Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO, the ED will provide leadership and direction in the development and execution of commercial, government and direct to employer ACO models and implementation of innovative approaches with a specific focus on accountable programs of care within SFH. Oversee the internal capabilities related to value-based contracts with payers, direct contracts with self-funded employers. Oversees and leads the ACO team to ensure that the appropriate infrastructure is in place for successful implementation and performance of alternative payment model programs.
This position will engage and collaborate with organizations on methods and best practices of identifying and improving patient health outcomes, patient satisfaction and operational efficiencies within an accountable care model.
ED will plan, direct, evaluate and oversee all aspects of the operational and financial business plan for ACO and population health initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership and is responsible for developing and supporting a sound infrastructure as well as policies and procedures consistent with these objectives.
This position will develop and oversee an effective and efficient team to manage the ACO operations, including; network development and information systems, analytics, administrative services and collaboration with care coordination within SFH.
Areas of responsibility for this position include ACO reporting and quality development, process management, information management and quality improvement that support triple aim results.
The ED will provide leadership and direction to ensure the ACO organization is in compliance with all applicable ACO standards and contracted requirements and will design and implement ACO care management processes.
Service Line Leader Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain close working relationships w/physician leader(s), and other members of the leadership team through proactive planning, dialogue and problem-solving efforts necessary to assure the efficient operations of the service line.
Identify and assess new revenue-generating opportunities based on market/financial data and trending information.
Ensure implementation of business strategies that add (or more fully develop) products (or markets) to existing service line.
Understand and integrate the ministry's resources, timing and ability to assume new service line opportunities during the planning process.
Provide leadership and support to the design, development and implementation of applicable service line(s).
Ensure new/existing service line(s) are consistent with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the SFHC.
Develop and plan to integrate key services to fulfill unmet community needs and seek input from project stakeholders to facilitate necessary change(s).
Prepare presentations to leadership and others as requested to effectively communicate updates on service line development efforts.
Maintain excellent relationship with medical staff and others responsible for daily operations of the Service Line.
Master's degree in business, health care administration or related field is preferred
Minimum of eight (8) years of healthcare operations experience, with some professional experience in product line administration, including in-depth knowledge of clinical services, programs and technologies
Ten (10) years or greater healthcare experience required, with 5 years or greater managerial/supervisory experience preferred
Demonstrated experience analyzing competitive healthcare environment and developing and implementing strategic recommendations to improve market share in a dynamic industry
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate with, and motivate others
Commercial and government ACO development, clinical case management or population health experience preferred
