The Division of Counseling & Psychology at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts invites applicants for a full-time faculty position. This position is a 10-month assignment beginning in August 2018. Reporting to the Division Director, the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor will teach a reduced course load and advise students, sustain professional scholarship, participate in institutional service and serve as the Director of the Field Training Office. The Director holds responsibility for and oversight of the Field Training Office including supervision of staff, adherence to state regulations for LMHC and DESE licensure, and student documentation of fieldwork. The Director of Field Training hires, supervises and evaluates the clinical supervision faculty who teach the practicum/internship classes. The Director consults on student problems, site issues or supervision class difficulties with students, clinical faculty, and site supervisors, insuring due process procedures. In conjunction with the Field Training Office staff, the Director develops new sites and maintains relationships with current site supervisors.
The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor will be part of a team of counselor educators who emphasize the relationship between social justice, reflective practice and individual well-being. The successful candidate will have expertise in integrating multiculturalism in content areas such as: trauma studies, children and families, mind-body practices, and research.
Doctoral degree in counselor education, counseling, psychology or related field.
At least two years of experience teaching at the graduate level.
At least three years of clinical experience and clinical supervision.
Experience supervising field placements, clinical practice instructors and administrative staff.
Knowledge and/or experience with CACREP accredited programs.
Expert knowledge of current licensure regulations is strongly preferred.
A strong emphasis on counselor education, clinical supervision, and ethical standards of clinical practice.
Must have an established program of scholarship in your area of teaching and practice.
Expertise in integrating multiculturalism in content areas such as: trauma studies, children and families, mind-body practices, and research.
Must hold an LMHC license, other clinical counseling professional license or equivalent, or are license eligible in the state of Massachusetts.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, your visa status must allow you to work at Lesley University.
Compensation and rank will be commensurate with experience and degree obtained.
