The applicant that fills this role will be able to make significant contributions to both the operational effectiveness and top line growth of the Kraft Heinz e-commerce organization (part of the Global Growth Organization). The primary objective of the Supply Chain Manager role is to partner with online retailers around operational initiatives (i.e. evolving fulfillment networks, lean inventory management, and seamless replenishment connectivity) that unlock growth for our brands in the digital space. This role will champion projects through the Kraft Heinz US Operations organization, advocating for changes necessary to continuing growing our brand’s share of the online market.
The e-commerce Supply Chain Manager will have full ownership over the connection between the customer’s and Kraft Heinz’s logistical networks, focused on delivering industry best service to minimize sales disruptions. Key performance metrics, including onsite item availability, case fill rate, and delivery lead-time will inform the leader around necessary routines and rituals to be developed for improved business visibility and faster issue resolution. Success in the role will be measured closely through improvements to these and other operational KPIs. Keen problem solving, effective process development, and continued commitment to improve the customer and consumer experience will be integral to achieving the role’s objectives.
This role will also have a large focus on addressing existing inefficiencies driven by customer specific requirements including but not limited to, labeling compliance, EDI order communication, and ship-to network rationalization. A successful candidate will effectively prioritize the correct issues to be addressed through data analysis and in depth familiarization with all involved parties’ needs. Resolving these initiatives will require excellent organization, delegation, and communication between both internal (i.e. sales, supply and operational planning, customer service) and external (i.e. customer, transportation carriers, 3PLs) partners.
Key Components of the role
Working with customer service to ensure orders are processed efficiently and optimally
Weekly monitoring of orders to identify inefficiencies or processes improvements to increase service levels
Maintain a clean catalogue of customer’s assortments, managing new and discontinued item changes
Lead routine connects with customer teams, reviewing service levels and progress on key account initiatives
Partner with sales/category marketing teams to support promotional activities on digital platforms
Support customer driven initiatives that effect existing supply chain
Lead and/or participation in various stakeholder forums (i.e. Weekly Performance Reviews, etc)
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Logistics, Math, or related field
Minimum 3 year work experience in logistics, demand planning, supply planning, or supply chain related areas
Prior or relevant experience in Retail (eCommerce a plus) and/or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) required
Proficiency in Excel; manipulating, managing, and interpreting large data sets. Minimum starting requirements include VLOOKUPS, INDEX MATCH, and pivot tables with an expectation of learning VBA
Thorough understanding and comfort using MS Office applications
SAP, Tableau, and Four Kites experience preferred
Exceptional communication skills; managing and addressing expectations from multiple stakeholders
Strong customer relationship management in support, service, and partnership
Ability to effectively work independently as well as collaboratively across multiple functions
Identify opportunities for process implementation to drive continuous improvement
Personal motivation in fast paced, high pressure environment with a bias for action
Strong business acumen, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects, strong organizational skills and ability to operate in ambiguity.
Strong drive for results; knowing when to take calculated risks in a fast-paced environment
