SRI Education leads large-scale research and development projects and evaluations with the goal of improving learning and instruction for all students. We are committed to bringing rigorous research and evaluation data to bear on important policy decisions concerning K–12 and post-secondary education. We are seeking to hire a research assistant who will work as a team member on multiple projects.
Assignments will include work on multiple ongoing projects related to broadening the participation of unrepresented groups in STEM, educational technologies, school reform, teacher quality, and transitions to higher education and the workforce. Responsibilities may include: conducting literature and Web research, scheduling and participating in site visits to schools, planning and/or facilitating large meetings with clients and stakeholders, conducting interviews, contributing to survey development, managing survey administration and database construction and maintenance, analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, and preparing reports and presentations.

Bachelor’s degree required.
Some professional work experience outside of college required; experience working in the US public K-12 education system strongly preferred.
Experience with educational technology use, curriculum and instruction in K-12 and/or postsecondary settings a significant plus.
Must have some research experience involving qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies/statistics.
Must be organized, attentive to detail, have the ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
Must possess good people skills, a desire to learn, and the ability to communicate clearly, including strong writing skills.
Knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Experience with database applications (e.g., Filemaker, Access) and basic programming (e.g., in SAS or Stata) desirable
