The Manager, Transportation is the main driver for all operational and financial improvements for the provider network at the assigned regional level. The primary function of the Manager, Transportation is to provide oversight for network recruitment, implementation, network management, field monitoring, logistics, and financial analysis of all modes of transportation within the network.

This position is a Work From Home Position.

Manage and oversee all operational aspects of Network Management
Manage internal/external policies while providing suggestions for improvement to the director and executive staff
Act as liaison between the corporate Fleet Analyst and the local office
Primary responsibility and focus at the assigned regional level for network costs, including but not limited to reviewing and containing average costs per trip, average costs per mile, and other costs related metrics to meet budgeted transportation expenses over managed territories
Primary responsibility to driving cost containment initiatives at the assigned regional level through innovative recommendations
Main departmental representative to internal departments and working on process projects
Direct provider network representatives in retention of and recruitment to the existing network to ensure that networks are comprehensive in geographic and mode coverage
Direct provider network representatives field monitoring and issuing of corrective action plans for transportation providers’ subpar performance
Provide oversight of provider network staff to ensure all NET Providers in the network operations are educated on NET Provider operating procedures outlined in the NET Provider Handbook and MTM policies
Direction of provider network staff to ensure that providers remain compliant with all requirements, credentials and policies
Participate in planning, revisions and implementation of MTM Provider Guidelines, Services Agreements and Amendments to Services Agreements
Responsible for staff performance management
Provide interpretation and assistance in compliance with all MTM policies and reporting procedures
Attend assigned regional and network provider conventions and seminars
Participate in planning and execution of assigned Regional Provider meetings
Participate as an active member of MTM department management meetings
Conduct employee interviews and hire staff as needed
Regular attendance is required
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
College degree or four years of related work experience required
1+ years of previous experience in management required
3+ years of previous experience in transportation, logistics or fleet management is required (5+ years is preferred)
Previous experience reading and interpreting Profit & Loss Statements is required
Knowledge of contracting and negotiations required
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Competency Based Qualifications:
Moderate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel required, PowerPoint preferred
Experience with routing and dispatch applications is preferred
Ability to acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of MTM departments
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment required
Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner required
Ability to make sound business judgments required
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage a variety of people required
Ability to acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of contracting and procedures and processes required
Ability to acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of MTM operations, systems, Provider Guidelines and other required policies and procedures required
Excellent communication skills, writing and verbal required
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills required
Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills required
Strong leadership and analytical skills required
