Position Summary: The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner serves as the clinical expert for assigned Nursing areas. The nurse practitioner works collaboratively with medical staff and assists with the treatment of both acute and chronic conditions through comprehensive assessments of patients. The ARNP ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care. They also facilitate: patient preparation for procedures, reaching plan of care goals, and all other patient care initiatives progressing towards discharge. This individual works collaboratively with all health care disciplines utilizing a team approach.

Position Requirements/Qualifications: (including required licensure/certifications, education and job knowledge / experience)

Master's Degree in Nursing Science with Board Certification through either the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Minimum: Five (5) years experience in critical care or (1) year experience as a nurse practitioner

Preferred: Five (5) years experience as a nurse practitioner

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: Current Florida ARNP License, Current AHA BLS/ACLS card. If ARNP has contact with pediatric patients must obtain current AHA PALS card.

Mandatory QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent human relations and/or written communication skills. Nursing Leadership experience preferred. Must be able to function as an educational resource for nurses throughout the facility.
