The Associate Mobile Product Manager working on AMBSE apps and mobile products will coordinate and contribute to the product vision and execution of features in coordination with the AMBSE user experience and Atlanta Falcons editorial teams. This role will assist in reimagining the user experience of the Atlanta Falcons app with an ongoing focus on creating strong content experiences that develop lasting user habits and assist with the continued development of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Atlanta United apps. This person will be dedicated to giving fans a personalized content experience, prioritizing top content while also providing a best-in-class in-stadium experience for Mercedes-Benz Stadium event attendees.
The right candidate must be able to help set and articulate a strong product vision that aligns with Falcons digital editorial strategy and business objectives and execute the plan with our app developer to deliver the highest quality sports content app experiences in the industry, in partnership with Editorial, User Experience, Fan Experience, Marketing and Sales.
The candidate must be self-motivated and possess a strong data-driven mindset and preferably has had direct product management experience working on consumer-facing products and mobile applications. This position will report to the AMBSE Director of Digital and User Experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
Contribute to the roadmap definition and manage the development of those features with our app developer (IBM) and improvements across multiple platforms concurrently
Manage the product development and delivery for specific features and improvements for AMBSE fan-facing apps, as well as mobile-specific experiences for MercedesBenzStadium.com, partnering with Falcons editorial, User Experience, Fan Experience, Marketing and Sales to build engaging experiences across AMBSE’s platforms
Write and communicate product requirements effectively to developers, designers, and stakeholders
Work closely with the User Experience team on a daily basis to build and deliver features that create user habits
Collect and analyze data to understand behavioral patterns of our users and use that insight to improve fan experiences and increase engagement
Balance the priorities of a diverse group of stakeholders, while still delivering high quality products in consistent releases.
Provide transparency and recommendations on project trade-offs, understanding and coordinating dependencies across multiple teams with competing priorities
Facilitate the ideation and development of new features and functionality around Falcons and AMBSE fan-facing mobile products
Translate strategy and product vision into project deliverables with launch targets
Skills and Basic Qualifications
Two years of professional experience in a sports or content-oriented digital media company
Demonstrated experience with product development for a content-focused product
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of A|B testing strategies, data analysis and analytical thinking, preferably with experience in Omniture, Google Analytics or similar products
High level of comfort communicating with senior product leaders, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders
Familiarity and passion for app development on native platforms (iOS/Android)
High energy and capable of multi-tasking and context-switching with ease, in a fast-paced and ever-evolving organization
Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Process-driven and extremely detail-oriented
Passionate sports fan and regular user of sports content and live-scoring apps (ESPN, Bleacher Report, CBS Sports, etc.)
Experience with experiential apps based on providing personalized experiences through CRM or other customer data
Familiarity with App Store Connect and Google Play app submissions.
Experience working with large, cross-functional development teams.
