Solutions Architect
The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

$113,583.00 - $170,375.00

What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for delivering technology solutions and architecture designs that meet business needs within the standards and reference architectures defined by IT Architecture. Primary focus is on point solutions, adding functionality to an existing solution, reviewing vendors, documentation, and participating in design.

Create and complete solutions architecture designs with an enterprise focus. Act as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders during solution development to ensure proposed solution meet tactical and strategic business objectives.

Provides technical expertise for business partners in the areas of solution architecture, design, development, testing, integration, delivery and sustainment. Conduct peer reviews, recommend, and assist with the build-out of new processes within IT in support of enterprise architecture functions, including roadmaps for IT systems architecture.

Creates technology solutions in support of the long-term technology strategy and the needs of the business, including solution architecture diagrams, architecture definitions, research notes, reports on industry best practices, and presentations

Collaborates with Enterprise Architects to incorporate solution architecture artifacts to ensure that an accurate picture of the people, process, and technology aspects of solutions are well documented and usable by enterprise architecture stakeholders.

Document existing systems architecture and technology portfolio as appropriate and make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.

Assures solutions are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with the standards guidelines of technology solutions to ensure systems are designed to ensure maximum uptime, appropriate monitoring, automated resiliency, appropriate security, and enterprise performance.

Advise on tools and technologies that will help better position the credit union for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of related experience in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field required

5-7 years of experience in building/implementation of technology solutions

License/Certifications - TOGAF preferred

License/Certifications - Azure Architecture preferred

License/Certifications - AWS Architecture preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Software Development LifeCycle

Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and other integration tools.

Experience with enterprise architecture

Experience working with IT architecture frameworks

Understanding of IT security, infrastructure, and governance

Proven knowledge and experience in solution architecture, design practices, and modelling.

Proven knowledge across a wide variety of different technology platforms and understanding of the appropriate application of those technologies to business and technical problems.

Strong technical understanding and comprehensive breadth of knowledge of technology best practices, solution design, and systems integration.
