Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting
- Assist surgeons and surgical team during procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia administration
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical field
- Assist with positioning and prepping patients for surgery
- Perform perioperative nursing assessments and interventions
- Administer medications and IV fluids as necessary
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room setting
- Proficient in Mammography, Specimen collection processing, Physical examinations, Basic life support, Case management, Experience with children, HIPAA regulations, Discharge planning, suture techniques, Diagnostic evaluation
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of [Location]
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
