The Geismar North America branch is expanding its established business in Beaufort, South Carolina. We are seeking a strong Buyer to join our Beaufort South Carolina team.
This is not a Contract position.
Minimum of five years of Purchasing experience; railroad, automotive, aerospace, heavy industrial equipment manufacturing preferred.
The qualified candidate will procure required products and services with the most favorable value, terms and conditions for the company. They will support and participate in vendor management activities, including sourcing, monitoring, evaluation and potential re-sourcing. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager. They will work closely with the Purchasing Manager and junior purchasing assistant to manage the planning and follow-up of procurement needs as requested by the engineering, technical, manufacturing production and customer service departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
