Eurofins National Service Center (NSC) in Lancaster, PA is searching for a Finance Director to support the NSC overseeing the finance and accounting function for a division of US companies. Position reports to the CFO North America.
Management of the US NSC’s Finance division for a collection of Eurofins owned companies, including managing monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and implementing standard processes and systems in close collaboration and alignment with the Group Finance function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Organization and Management
Recruitment, development and career planning of the staff under her or his responsibility
Coach and develop individual and team to maximize performance
Support the different Business Unit (BU) Managers in all aspects related to corporate governance and Eurofins policies
Drive process improvements and automation, implement standard processes and systems, in close collaboration and alignment with the Group Finance function
Accounting and Controlling
Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly closings and reporting
Implement the Group’s procedures and enforce adherence
Manage internal and external auditors
Coordinate efforts with the Eurofins National Division Service Center (NDSC)
Organize the budgeting process and support the BU Managers in preparing their budgets
Monitor monthly performance vs. budget and prior years, support business units in taking corrective actions to achieve targets
Manage budget reforecasting processes when required
Perform analysis on revenues and expenses
Implement adequate internal controls
Assist, prepare and propose annual budget and 3 year plan. Report on any deviations to deliver agreed upon results
Develop a strategic business plan to achieve and/or expand market leadership, while reaching and/or maintaining the required level of profitability and implement the strategy.
Monitor and report financial and operational performance and compliance terms to ensure that appropriate management systems are in place.
Oversee banking and reconciliation activities with NSC. This will include revenue recognition, P&L closing processes and financial audits
Plan, develop and implement complex financial and other administrative strategies to support organizational programs
Work with team to assess operations costs and develop strategies with the executive leaders to improve operations
Banking, Insurance, Tax & Legal
Supervise the credit collection and manage working capital and cash
Contribution to the Global Finance Organization
Support the implementation and monitor application of Group Finance Procedures
Participate in Group Finance Projects
Support the identification and implementation of Best Practices
Support Due Diligence processes for targeted companies
Lead the restructuring, integration and management of newly acquired companies
Demonstrate and promote the company vision
Travel to Eurofins BU sites for extended periods of time
Develop efficient and effective operations and systems that support strategic goals
Regular attendance and punctuality
Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
Identify and evaluate issues and explore continuous improvement initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years related management experience in finance and accounting.MBA and/or CPA are strongly preferred
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Experience in financial management, strategic planning, budget analysis and development, and account management.
Demonstrated proficiency with project management including analysis, planning and organizing and implementing of new programs
Proven leadership skills
