Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking a Manager, Programs Level 03 to manage the GBSD Transition & Interim Contractor Support for the Product Support organization. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
The selected candidate will manage the product support group responsible for the transition, deployment, and support of the GBSD weapon system during initial phases of weapon system deployment and operation. Responsible for directing and managing personnel in the development of several CDRL reports involving the production of plans, procedures and analyses identifying the interfaces of AF & contractor/subcontractor personnel teams, hardware, facilities, spare parts, tools and support equipment products required to transition from EMD into deployment and early operation and sustainment of the weapon system. Critical responsibilities will involve balancing the phase down of MMIII assets while maintaining weapon system availability and readiness ensuring system supportability and reduction of O&S costs. Ensure the 12 product support elements are addressed through interface with associated AF/Contractor teams and disciplines to understand and resolve issues associated with the transition, deployment and support of GBSD and MMIII. Accountable for the development, delivery, and sustainment weapon system assets to support the deployment early operational maintenance phases of the program. Coordinates with AF and contractor teams as required to resolve problem areas and identify and reduce associated risks. Reviews status of ILS products and budgets including EVMS indices; prepares and manages schedules and prepares status reports on the health and status of transition, ICS, deployment activities, interfacing with management and other IPTs as required.
The successful candidate must:
Be responsible for the management of 30 plus team members and functions.
Provide direction to subordinates and interface with upper management.
Ensure personnel needs are met and ensures they have the tools and resources required for their jobs. Encourage and foster high morale.
Be the single point of accountability for the development, delivery, and sustainment of all assigned transition, deployment, ICS, plans, analyses and CDRL products.
Ensure conduct and participate in personnel reviews and staff meetings.
Serve as primary POC for PST/Transition team within NG and Government counterparts as required

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
