DEPARTMENT: CH - Infusion Services - Okatie.
The Office Coordinator provides secretarial support to clinical staff. Coordinates patient scheduling, internal and external. Collects co-payments and other required documentation for the visit. Obtains pre-certifications as required by health care insurers or managed care providers. Informs patients of costs for care being provided, and guides them to appropriate resources for further information. Coordinate patient appointments, acquire and delivers medical documentation and types routine correspondence and reports from dictation or handwritten copy. Answers telephones, screens callers, relays messages, and greets visitors. Assists financial services to complete additional tasks.
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. 1-2 years of Medical Office experience is preferred.
