The Human Resources Business Partner supports primary geographic business leaders in the Indiana Market Unit (MU) to attract, engage and grow talent. This position is accountable for HR activities within the assigned MU and serves as a partner which includes Sales, Distribution, Equipment Services and Logistics.

Accountable for building proactive multifaceted plans for the MU that ensures talent is in place, implementing people strategies that supports business priorities, drives results and mitigates risks.
Identifying MU Leadership Capabilities that drive People Development Plans to best attract, engage and grow talent.
This position will collaborate and partner with the other HR COE’s to lead the execution of people initiatives across the geographic area.
Adapting the People Plan into MU specific action items.
Responsible in partnership with other COE’s for building management routines to ensure people plan execution.
Provide HR Consultation to business operators and other HR functional areas on ways to improve efficiency, productivity, profitability and strategic capability as it relates to People strategy.
Work closely with leaders to promote positive employee relations and engagement.
Analyze HR and Business Data to diagnose needs and forecast trends and strategize solutions or plans for optimization.
Assist Employee Relations Team, as required, to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues which includes conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
Work with Labor Relations Business Partner on Unionized work-groups
Advocate, champion and integrate the HR Service Delivery Model within the business.
Change Champion – Be the primary change management partner for assigned territory.
Shepherd annual processes per agreed upon role sort (includes master calendar of People processes).
Provide Business Continuity Plan support.
Develop people communication strategy and plans.
Accountability for continuous improvement of existing policies and processes and identification of new policy requirements.
5+ years of HR generalist experience (Ideally in a multi-unit multi-discipline environment)
Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws as well as HR professional practices
Excellent consulting, interpersonal problem-solving, and influencing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop professional relationships and credibility with management and employees at multiple business units in multiple locations
Strong Employee Relations skills
Ability to manage many and sometimes competing priorities
** This position will require frequent travel throughout the IN Market Unit. Percentage of travel is anticipated to be ~60%
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in HR or Business
HR Certification (SPHR)
Some Labor Relations experience
Knowledge of consumer products business
