Red Sky Lighting has an Immediate Need for Temporary Warehouse Associates for short-term temporary assignments. Qualified candidates APPLY NOW for Immediate Consideration.
Shift: Monday to Friday 5:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. plus overtime if needed
Warehouse Associates are responsible for assembling LED light fixtures that are designed for use in hazardous environments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Works under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager and/or Operations Supervisor
- Unload and receive inbound inventory
- Assemble LED lights according to specifications as outlined in the SOP
- Perform quality control testing of finished products
- Awareness of product quality standards and efficiency metrics
- Prepare finished products for shipping
- Operate necessary tools and equipment used to assemble LED light fixtures
- Report defective products and materials to the Operations Manager and/or Supervisor
- Adhere to industrial health and safety rules and regulations associated with this position
- Demonstrates safe use of warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack and other material handling equipment)
- Other general warehouse duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Comfortable standing, moving, bending and lifting throughout entire shift
- Ability to work overtime hours and/or weekends when necessary to meet production schedule
- Working command of the English language both oral and written
- Proficiency in reading SOP’s and product specifications
The ideal candidate will have experience with power tools, hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. Previous electrical and/or industrial lighting experience is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Minimal warehouse experience or combination of education and experience
Ability to read, interpret, and apply product specs and SOP’s
Knowledge of product lines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingual Chinese a plus
Problem-solving skills
Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner
Gives attention to detail and follows instructions
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements
Frequently work in varying temperatures, hot and cold (including outdoor temperatures) Continuously standing, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying and walking throughout the warehouse for an entire work shift. Frequently required to lift and place product weighing up to 50 pounds on pallets at various heights.
