WSI/ShippingTree, one of the largest logistics companies in the US, is looking for a fulfillment-centered Senior Content Creator to plan and write various types of pieces for web pages, articles, blogs, case studies, eBooks, press releases, and social media messaging. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Senior Content Creator responsibilities include producing marketing copy to advertise our products, writing blog posts about industry-related topics, creating case study copy, eBook development, and managing our content calendar. To succeed in this role, you should be an experienced writer specializing in logistics, e-commerce, and order fulfillment. Ultimately, you will help us reach our target audience by delivering both useful and appealing content that adds value to our target marketplace. Work samples are required (portfolio or links to published articles) along with your application.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create and manage the content calendar, in full.
- Industry research; ecommerce, omnichannel fulfillment, supply chain, freight, transportation.
- Write, edit, and publish well-structured blogs, eBooks, Case Studies, articles, social media copy.
- Identify customers’ needs, delivering content of value to the marketplace.
- Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views/quotes into final copy.
- Identify co-marketing content opportunities with partners; blog swaps, co-branded content.
- Write and update website copy as needed/requested.
- Understand website landscape for cross-linking opportunities within copy.
- Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content.
- Accurately source all research conducted through cross-linking, in-text citations, and footnotes.
- Ongoing competitor analysis to determine what is resonating in the market.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Possess deep industry knowledge within the 3PL/logistics space.
- Understands the 3PL and logistics competitor landscape.
- Ability to identify merchant pain points, wants and needs to deliver content of relevance.
- Experience writing and publishing content at a fast pace with a range of end use.
- Experience working cross-functionally within an organization; external and internal partners.
- Highly detailed oriented and organized; able to manage a robust content calendar.
- Strong communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Able to work autonomously with little guidance.
- Experienced in creating content that builds on itself through effective cross-linking strategies.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 8 years of experience with at least 3 years’ experience as a content creator.
- BS/BA degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or relevant field. Bonus points for a Masters’ degree.
- Proven work experience as a content creator/copywriter, or a similar role, producing up to 8,000 words.
- Portfolio of published content required; ecommerce, logistics, freight, transportation, omnichannel.
- Experienced with Project management tools (Monday.com).
- Experienced with internal/external communication platforms (slack, WebEx).
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Work out of a remote home location, with proximity to an airport for travel via airplane.
- Travel required (<20%???); estimates may vary based on home location.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time within an office environment.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls/tele calls/chat.
- Ability to communicate via the telephone/tele video/chat using speaking and hearing skills.

COMPENSATION
- $90-$130k salary; based on experience.
- Performance-based annual bonus.
