REPORTS TO: Vice President of Development and Communications
LOCATION: East Hanover, NJ
HOURS: 9 am-5 pm Monday-Friday; occasional evenings and weekends

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates development, organization, and operation of all events and other fundraising and public relations activities

Manages all aspects of the event planning process, including subcontractor vetting, management of design and printing of event materials, venue identification, and menu development while maintaining the event budget

Plays a key role in Volunteer Department special event planning and execution

Takes photographs at special events and for special projects and creates social media content that encourages engagement

Provides frontline customer service (in-person, online, over the phone) for donations, inquiries, and donor follow-up

Creates sponsor invoices and facilitates payments; tracks event registrations, ticket payments, etc.

Coordinates event schedule, and ensures resources for events are in place/on time

Coordinates volunteers and staff in support of the event

Prepares press releases and initiates event promotion through a variety of modalities

Creates and monitors peer-to-peer fundraising sites, troubleshoot with users when needed

Tracks restricted event donation expenditures

Communicates with internal staff and the community regarding Development projects

Creates event-based modes of volunteer appreciation

Performs other related tasks and special projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
College credits or degree preferred, experience with working with people with disabilities a plus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, familiarity with CRM database management tools preferred

Experience using a professional camera and editing software desired

Must have the ability to lift and carry event supplies
