TSC’s Production Business Unit provides products and services in the areas of radar, communication systems, sensors, antennas and other electronics systems to the missile, radar/sensor system, communications, control systems, data acquisition, and signal processing markets. The company has developed products ranging from chip-level, application-specific, integrated circuits (ASIC) to complete, turnkey radar and communication systems. TSC has established a state-of-the-art hardware
capability that is well respected by customers in Government and industry. TSC also provides full spectrum systems engineering support including theoretical analysis, requirements generation, interface control, and test planning/execution/data analysis.

Job Description:
TSC’s Production Business Unit in Huntsville, AL is currently looking to hire an Administrative Assistant. This position will support the Director of Product Management, Production, Program Management, and Engineering Staff to deliver innovative, end-to-end multi-platform solutions that will be used in various radar and RF systems for the military market. This position will draft, edit and coordinate delivery of subcontractor data requirements list items and other program documents to customers. The successful candidate will coordinate across business functions to ensure on time delivery of documents and data as delineated in purchase orders and statements of work. This position will also coordinate business meetings, arrange,
maintain, and modify office schedules and associated departmental activities; handle confidential business matters and maintain effective and efficient organization of administrative requirements. The candidate must be reliable, resourceful, work accurately and independently and with an ability to anticipate, initiate and follow through with all work requirements. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for handling schedules in Microsoft Project with precision. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism, a high level of discretion and confidentiality, the ability to interact with internal and external customers as well as senior management, be able to organize and prioritize tasks with
minimum supervision, and possess strong office management and office technology skills. The successful candidate will also be responsible for routine administrative duties: coordinate staff meetings, teleconferences, answer
telephones, screen calls, forward messages, arrange travel, prepares expense reports, and maintain filing systems. Ordering and managing refreshments and luncheons for some meetings is required. The assistant will use Microsoft Office to produce high quality reports, presentations, or other documents.

Managing subcontractor data list delivery schedules to ensure contract requirements are met
Coordinate and facilitate cross functional business leaders to complete contract documents on time
Edit program documents in Microsoft Word to ensure accurate and compliant document formats
General administrative support
Coordinate customer meetings
Arrange travel schedules/reservations and prepare expense reports
Track and order supplies
Arrange meetings to include conference room scheduling, telecom set-up, and catering arrangements
Create and maintain power point presentations, word documents, project schedules and Visio charts
Periodically work with a team to create proposal technical volumes

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of direct related experience
Experience as a professional administrative, office or executive assistant
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
Experience in use of modern Information Communication Technology equipment, including telephone exchange, computer, copier, printer scanner
Ability to complete a wide range of tasks with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and maximize productivity

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as administrative assistant in a defense industry organization.
  • Experience in editing and proofing proposal responses for Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quote/Proposal

  • Associates Degree or higher
