Position: The Philanthropy Associate Officer will join the dedicated members of Arrupe Jesuit’s Philanthropy Team, creating relationships and raising funds to benefit and boost the schools’ philanthropic efforts and presence in the community. This position will be responsible for an existing portfolio of donors comprised of current benefactors, with a goal of adding 15% new prospective donors within the first year and continued growth over time. Fundraisings efforts will be aimed at donors giving $2,500 and above, but also at cultivating current contributors to grow their support. The Philanthropy Associate is an individual who is steadfast in the mission of Arrupe Jesuit, understands the power of the donor lifecycle, and is excited by the challenge of growth and connections. They are a contributor who values teamwork, while also being individually motivated to achieve goals, both personally and professionally.
Primary Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the Director of Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Department, execute the day-to-day operations of the school’s annual fund needs and its Capital Campaign
- Manage a portfolio of new and existing donors to encourage renewed or increased support and engagement over time
- Aid in strategy and implementation practices for all Annual Fund and Capital Campaign donations from benefactor, corporate and grant-making communities
- Develop and execute donor stewardship plans that can be customized for all donors
- Provide support in individual giving strategies including, but not limited to, direct mail, email communications, and annual appeals
- Solicit and steward event sponsorships and contributors
- Create strategy and manage oversight of prospecting and peer-to-peer introductions within individual portfolio and in conjunction with the President, Director of Philanthropy and Associate Director of Philanthropy
- Oversee individual donor and school/student relationship opportunities, including school tours, volunteer opportunities, networking events, etc.
- Respond to needs for the greater good of AJHS and our benefactors, as appropriate
- Build bridges throughout the school to aid in building a culture of collaboration
- Seek opportunities for improved process and procedure for the Philanthropy Department
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in fundraising with an emphasis on major gifts, event and campaign fundraising
- Three (3) years of proficient experience with SalesForce or a similar CRM
- Understanding of and commitment to upholding the Jesuit values and mission of Arrupe Jesuit High School Preferred

- Strong proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite and Salesforce or a similar CRM
- Experience with Greater Giving and/or other fundraising software
- Sensitivity to and respect for the socio-economic, racial and religious backgrounds of the student body
- Strong commitment to the Jesuit Catholic mission of the school and the values of the Corporate Work Study Program
Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50-75% of the time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
