As a member of the Infrastructure Engineering team, you'll play a big part in designing the platforms, servers, and networks make it possible for us to provide service to our customers, clients, and businesses around the globe each and every day. In this role you’ll call on your experience designing tailored solutions to understand the requirements of a project, test the performance of the infrastructure, and verify that the requirements have been successfully met. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Proficient knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management), Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provision)

The Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Technology Data Center team is responsible for executing the firms DC strategy for CIB. The Data Center team resides in the CIB Infrastructure services group under CIB Tech Production Management.
The CIB Tech Data Center works closely with Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) and business aligned application teams. We manage the end to end application migrations from legacy data centers and legacy infrastructure platforms to strategic target states. CIB Tech follows a proven methodology for managing the application migration from analysis to migration and subsequent decommission of existing infrastructure.
As migration execution project manager for NAMR your responsibilities will include:
End to end project management of the migration for a portfolio of applications.
Working closely with the Business Aligned Production Management, Application Development, and GTI teams to ensure applications are moved on time, and without unexpected production impact
Working closely with Global team located in EMEA, NAMR, and APAC following a standard migration methodology
Manage risks and issues for application migrations under your management, escalating to senior management when necessary
APPLICATION MIGRATION MANAGEMENT – end-to-end management of a portfolio of applications in-scope for the data centre exit.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE – Following a consistent process you will manage the communication with your application contacts
MIGRATION SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT – ensure your application migration plans are managed appropriately and risks to the schedule are managed and escalated as necessary.
RISK AND ISSUE MANAGEMENT – management and escalation of risks and issues specific to the application that is undergoing migration. Identify cross application trends and escalate to manager as necessary
MIGRATION PHASE MANAGEMENT – lifecycle management of the applications through the migration process as per the following:
Analysis– analysis of in-scope infrastructure. Mapping of infrastructure to services and related environments.
Design – Support capture of future architecture requirements. Support detailed architecture reviews and feedback risks/issues to the engineering leads.
Provisioning – manage prioritization and support order processes. Working with DC engineering, prioritize and sequence order fulfilment with GTI including validation steps with business where necessary
Configuration– work with AD teams to ensure configuration of applications on provisioned environments runs to plan. Escalate issues, dependencies and resources needed to complete tasks
Testing - work with AD teams to ensure applications are tested in accordance with the firm’s controls on configured environments. Escalate issues, dependencies and resources needed to complete tasks
Migration Execution – support pre-migration activities including tasks and resources required to execute migration. Management of go/no-go gates for cut-over. Risk and issue management during migration execution preparation. Post implementation reviews to capture lessons learned
Decommission – Confirm last app standing has migrated. Confirm environment ready for physical decom. Manage infrastructure through JPMC decommission process
DEPENDENCY MANAGEMENT – management of key dependencies identified during analysis and design phase which are key for completion of application migration
Qualifications required here:
Must be able to demonstrate an awareness of distributed infrastructure and core datacenter infrastructure principles
Experience with Data Centre Migration projects or other significant infrastructure programs
Proven ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects in parallel
Must be comfortable communicating clearly and concisely, including management escalations
Banking or Financial markets background a plus, but not essential
