Mail System Operator

Works with the Manager of the eviCore Mailroom to become familiar and proficient with all mailing processes and procedures, including USPS pre-sort and metered discounted mailings, certified, return receipt, overnight, FedEx/UPS, as well as other various shipping methods to utilize the most cost effective and efficient methods for sending mail. Use proper skills in operating and maintaining mailroom machinery such as folder inserter, postage meter machine, printers, copier, fax machine, and shredder. Responsible for notifying the Manager Mailroom if machines need maintenance or repair and any production issues. Produces various reports and maintains shipping logs. Assists Mailroom Auditors in gathering letters for auditing and substitutes for auditor when absent. Notifies Manager Mailroom when Postage Meter needs replenishing and follows established procedural controls. Accepts delivery of USPS Mail, time and date stamped mail, and distributes to or notifies appropriate staff. Assists reception staff with delivery of UPS, FedEx and other express mail documents and distributes as needed. Assists with special mailings from various departments as directed and needed. Ensures appropriate supply levels for mailroom items and keeps mailroom organized, neat, and safe. Provides administrative support to the Manager Mailroom and management as determined by the needs of the company. As necessary delivers the packaged mail to the Post Office and insures it is acutely accounted for at the Post Office. Works with the Finance Department in the packaging and mailing of remittances and checks. Supports returned mail processes. Other duties as necessary.

Minimum Experience Required
1- 2 years mail room experience preferred

Required Skills
This position requires relevant work experience in a medium to fast paced business environment with word processing including Excel skills and machine management skills. Must work well in a team environment, be dependable and have great organizational skills. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; follow through on assigned tasks; apply good communication skills and relate to people from diverse backgrounds and departments is also required. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs... Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be willing to work overtime when required.
